I like one side of this post.
But the other side of it sucks calling anyone a loser that puts forth the effort it takes to race at Delaware week in and week out is wrong.
Just my opinion

I don't think getting into disappointments necessarily implies that someone is a loser. I think its a valid question, and what's wrong with a little mid-term analysis?

Heres a few +'s and -'s from my end

APC Late Model:
+ We all knew 52-Sheridan and 28-Robblee would be stout, so no question there. The surprise of course was 02-Mark Watson, coming hard right out of the box, setting wicked fast times and nailing 2nd a bunch of times.
- Dissapointment for me was 49-Rob Clarke. As a multi-time OSSCAR champ, I was hoping that he'd automatically be in the upper echelon fighting for wins alongside Robblee and Sheridan, but it never really transpired.

Powerade Modified:
+ One nice surprise is the emergence of 38-Tyler Hendricks. Not quite in the same zip code as 3-Cox, 1-Newman and 88-Shipway, but will soon be in the neighborhood I think.
- No real disappointments here other than car count. It was a shame 59-Tyler Findlay suffered that catastrophic turn 3 crash that completely totaled his car and put him out for the season.

Super Stock:
+ A nice surprise comes from 5-Mairs who's been up front a lot lately, including last week's win. And rookie kudos to both 60-Jake Ott and 84-Steve Smith. Smith bagged a feature. Ott has a little way to go but has shown he can run with the big dogs without stinking the place up.
- Disappointment here comes with the rough stuff that's been somewhat prevalent here this year. 3-Perkins got totaled, 77-Lake has been thru heck and back, both resulting form rough and unnecessary contact. 98-Morneau is out for slightly different reasons and that's a disppointment in itself.

Demar Aggregates Trucks:

All +'s
Not too much in the way of disappointments here either. One surprise has been rookie 99-Michelle Koricina, whos come out hard and bagged a heat race or 2. 16-Kathleen Hosang has been stout as well, also nailing a heat race...although not really a surprise. Guess the only other would be 75-Jordan Dupuis who's been getting slightly better each week and will be a contender soon.

The Track:

+ Don't know much about enduros so Im going to expand it a little for the track itself. There's been a gazillion improvements...too many to list, so here's the stuff that jumps out at me: Lots of great improvements there...but believe it or not the nicest surprise has been the hot dogs! The food's great this year and the lineups are running pretty smoothly. (unless you''re buying popcorn later in the evening) And kudos on finally getting debit!

Also a nice surprise is the way the one-way radio system speeds along the lineup process after a caution. Thats maybe something the casual fan might not pick up on, but the hardcores certainly do.

- Only downside that I've been hearing, is that although its commendable to try and get the show done at a reasonable time, there's been a couple times they've been a little too quick, shortening a couple races while the outcome was still uncertain. (I'm stiill hearing about the one when the SuperStocks got cut 5 laps short, and I'm still hearing about them shortening the Partsource race....even though I personally didn't take issue with that one.)

My only real personal beef is those JBM Autoleasing nights. They're only 15 laps more than a regular feature, so I don't see a need to time trial them. I'd rather they race in through heats...at least it sets the stage a little.

So, that's it for me. Lets hash it out!
🙂

in this economy, making it to the track for any team is a plus...so to say that someone is dissapointing is a lil harsh for my liking.

Maybe so, but its also sports. Some guys win and some guys lose. I'd neve advocate giving anyone a rough time because they're not doing well, but it is a valid point of discussion...even if the thread title sounds a little harsh.

The driver that I spoke of I brought up only because it was also a surprise that he didn't do as well as I'd imagined he would. It'd be like Jr Hanley running dead last...it just feels wrong. Rob's a big boy, an accomplished driver, and I'm sure his disappointment is way greater than mine.
