Is he off at school learning more tricks of the trade?
Reguarding John absence when checking stories listed showed that Delaware & Cpt have hired a person for Public Relations and this person is Lisa Brandt and by the sounds of it has lots of experience and notice the story said Delaware Speedway GM Joe Czernai if not mistaken he was not GM last year as that name did not sound familar.Guess will just have to wait and see but it is shown in the stories on Delaware site.
Joe became GM of Delaware this past season.
Laker has it right. The management titles and job descriptions themselves seemed to change a bit as the season progressed. Initially Joe was the director of hospitality. (don't hold me to the title, but it was something like that) Partway through the season, Joe was appointed GM overall, while Jeff and Paul continued with their respective roles...Jeff being the race director and ultimate pit boss, and Paul Houghton basically running the facility itself. That was as of last year, the way I understood it.
Whatever is happening this year is up to the management to announce...bearing in mind that Delaware is a privately owned business. But it looks like the first round of announcements is made. Kevin and the CPT guys were around a lot last year and seemed to do a lot of good work, so that's no surprise they stayed with CPT.
The appointment of Lisa Brandt kinda came out of left field, but I'm pretty sure she'll do good work. These guys running Delaware know their stuff and wouldn't hire her lightly.
