Here's a couple more shots from today. Things are starting to shape up. Talking to them today, it sounds like the plan is to also have pit road sort of wrapping around turn 3, with stalls even in the curved part.

Here's one from "Ivory Tower" where the race director sits.
Now all we need is back stretch seating so I can stumble over from my camper and a hard suface for the infield so we don't choke on dust. Even limestone screenings would be better than what is there now.
I would think that extending pit road around 1 into two would be a bit safer but this looks like it will be interesting.
Not dissing what they are doing now at all just to be clear.
Maybe they can spread the extra dirt around the pits, cover up all those rivets and old beer caps haha
track looks great cant wait to get the car out on the new surface

Delaware Speedway PRDelaware Speedway’s new owners are releasing details today of a renovation project to the historic speedway located just outside of London, Ontario, Canada. The plan will see the first major upgrade to turns at the track since the 1990’s and the first reconfiguration of a turn since 1969 when the speedway was expanded to its current size. The upgrade is made possible by the Spivak-Demelo Ownership team and aims to radically improve the quality of racing at Canada’s most historic speedway. Excavation has already begun for the project.
“Delaware Speedway is open for business and this construction shows the strong commitment from the new ownership group in building racing at the track for years to come,” explained track PR director John Houghton. “These improvements will help make Delaware Speedway the top destination in the region for racing enthusiasts and casual fans alike”.
--Rumors Which Turned Out True--
--Another Major Release Next Week: APC Summer Showdown Nascar Super Stars--
Earlier this week the speedway announced $300,000 in available prizing for local drivers this season. Next, the track has another major release when it announces details about which top-level Nascar drivers will be participating in this season’s Summer Showdown. Speculation from fans has been rampant as to which driver(s) have been selected and have chosen to participate. The speculation will come to an end next week. Tickets for the hotly anticipated event will go on sale at the time of the release. Super-value season passes for all Delaware Speedway events continue to be available through the speedway office.
Wonder who is coming....
Are they reworking both ends or just 3-4. This would be a great time to get rid of the whoop t do out of turn 2.
I wonder if any owners have thought of running fundraising events to try and come up with some scratch for a total track repave effort.
Some one must have tried somewhere. There must be paving companies who would take free lifetime advertising for helping a at cost job.
Any takers.
Just thinking out loud.
