It was a pretty good night of racing, although the Lake team probably feels a bit differently this morning. Darrell apparently won a thriller of a heat race (I was in back and didn't get to see it) Sounded like they were 3 wide around the last corner.

Then in the feature he started on the pole and ended up in the turn 4 fence on the first lap, apparently courtesy of the 07 McNicol car. What is with these guys...did they just decide they don't like the 77 for some reason?

Tough break for JWO and Juicebox as it looks like the 60 broke an axle and sailed off into the fence during his heat. They didn't return for the A main.

Anyway the Super Stock Main was a thriller that saw 99-Nagy out front early with the faster guys bearing down. Nagy got caught with Fothergill and Jo Lawrence right behind him. Coming off of turn 4 they were 3 wide, Lawrence on the outside, and Jo comes up with the lead. Jo lead for quite a while with the 33 tucked right underneath him. It was cool that rookie Jo didn't appear to be to ruffled about it either, holding the 33 at bay for several laps. Fothergill eventually made the pass towards the end, but Lawrence made him work for the pass, then didn't let him get away. Good race and good showing by Lawrence.

Late Model...what can you say? Quarrie was a bullet tonight and no one was catching him. Verhoeven and Robblee had a good early battle which Verhoeven won, and Jay Doerr ended up third. Interesting battle was further back in the field where top points guys Pritiko and Gresel were duking it out for position. Gresel got the better of it, but what was weird is that this battle usually takes place at the front instead of mid field.

Sorry I had to beat it home, so missed the truck race completely. They ran them out of order tonight because of threatening rain, so the Late Models went first.

One more Friday night to go...can you beleive it?
