I love Delaware and there new rules about the Lucky Dog. Not being eligible for the lucky dog after being black flagged. (for being a naughty naughty boy)
So my thoughts and Jeff it suck that this is about you and its nothing personal Id be saying this about anyone else if they had been the one to "take us out" that one fine evening. Im not here to debate on what happened the night we hit the tire. Racing is racing and whatever your opinion is on what happened, everyone is entitled to.
The bottom line is that the 56 Jeff Showler got the black flag for the incident and came and did his stop and go or was put to the back (I forget). Later on in the race Jeff got into some trouble and got a flat tire. and a caution came out and Jeff got his lap back and had an awesome truck that night and made it back to 5th.
and im sure it wouldn't be such a big deal if Jeff wasn't leading the points right now (good for him hes had a good year) But just to point out to all drivers around him in the points standings.
If and this is a big questionable If. If this rule was in effect at the beginning of the year, Jeff would approximately lose 8-9 points.
Now how fair is it to us and to everyone that may be effected for such a rule to come out
Now it wont be seen to the full extent what effects this will have on everyone untill the end of the race season.
second topic is how fast the yellow flag comes out for almost EVERY other problem, incident, issue on the track it seems to come out with no hesitation. I could not see what had happened in corner 1-2 in the heat race. But he spun out and was unable to get the truck running.
We didn't get a stop and go we got held a full lap.
which fine you want to give that sort of penalty to him GIVE IT TO EVERYONE
So Obviously I'm going to think that is a little excessive, so I watched other races and the whole night the yellow flag was out in just over a blink of an eye.
I would like to see a little more consistency on Delawares part.
look delaware tries but consistancy is there huge down fall at that track, one person enforces one rule and another one enforces another, also they have a nack for changing rules "when they see fit" to accomodate certain situations and certain drivers in all classes...i dont expect to see john come on here and agree with me, but if u ask the 90% of the drivers (the other 10% being friends of officials) if they have noticed the same thing your anwser would be yes it seems they play favorites...
ex: in the last endur invitational the 15 of Dave Goertz was using a chrome safety rim on his front right, a big no no in enduro...but did anyone say anything to him...they sure didnt...
Just to clarify, what is the new rule, and how new is it?
BTW, I agree the ball got dropped on the yellow flag in question, but to say Delaware's out to "screw" you guys seems a wee bit overboard. I can't begin to count the number of times I've seen the officials let something slide regarding the 88 truck. (and the 9 truck last year.)
Sure, maybe you got burned this time around, but there's been lots of other times it went in your favor too.
Also, I seem to recall not too long ago that Showler himself ended up hitting that tire dead on, and there was no caution at all. I was confoozled about that at the time, but maybe that was an example of something coming around that had gone around?
I think the point trying to be made "was consistency". Not who's favour its going in this time, or next.

Fair enough. Truthfully I was reacting more to the title of the thread than the issue of consistency. My bad.
