Good to see Delaware get a good turn out of Late Models Friday night (23).Noticed that DJ Kennington made it out.Good to see with a week off from NASCAR he took time out to come back to his roots where he started .To bad their was no press on this (No newspaper or Television report) A team was
there doing filming but there was no film clip or mentioning of him (DJ ) there last night.Noticed that their feature started 23 but only 8 finished(a lot of DNF) was this due to mechanical problems or just from accidents.If anybody has a report on last nights races .It would be nice to hear about the races.Nice to see last nights results posted already.Keep up the good work.
It was a pleasant surprise to see 23 Late Models turn out for their opener but the Late Model feature that ended around 10:50 pm was full of cautions. Kirk Hooker wrecked hard as did Duke Sawchuk and Matt Box. Brandon Watson was involved in a frontstretch incident with Rick Emery which sent both out for the night. Dion Verhoeven had mechanical problems in his heat and was a DNS in the feature. Very difficult to pass on the outside. If the track ever gets repaved it will really improve the racing, especially in the Late Models.
JR Fitzpatrick was out with his Super Stock but was a DNF in the feature while running near the front. He knocked part of the front left off the car after contact on the first turn of the first lap of his heat which drew some laughs from his dad and Don Thomson who I spotted in the grandstand.
