Ryan Litt was dominating the Sprint feature.. then lost the drive shaft.  I believe #42 ended up winning the race.  Followed by Mike Ling in 2nd.

Steve Richmond worked the highside past a bunch of guys to take the SS feature.  Darryl Lake 2nd.

Paul Shipway made some nice moves to take the Mod feature.  Not exactly sure who followed.

My brother texted me the AVSS top 5 as I was at Ohsweken last night...

1. 42 Jason Blonde, 2. 55 Mike Ling, 3. 70 Dennis Craft, 4. 99 Ike Beasley, 5. 24 Bill Tyler

Blonde had fast time at 16.141.

How many Super Sprints last night? I believe they had only 15 at Auto City (MI) for their opener and I am looking at going to Toledo next Friday for the ISMA/Super Sprint doubleheader.

My 2008 Race Count: 14

My 2008 Track Count: 9 - New Smyrna (FL), Flamboro (ON), Humberstone (ON), Ransomville (NY), Delaware (ON), Sauble (ON), Ohsweken (ON), Cayuga (ON), Kawartha (ON)

There were 16 Sprints, including non-regulars Mike Ling and Scott O'Connor. But the numbers didn't affect the great show they put on. Doing the track in the 16's would lead to lapping pretty early if there were 24 and this would have take away from the almost side by side action for the lead as well as back at the battle for 6th place . It sure would be great to have these guys back a couple of times next year and no question, they would be faster with a smoother track (that bump out of 4 really showed up with these guys.
