A note to Delaware Speedway teams, the DelaNET download link is now working on Delaware Speedway.com. http://www.delawarespeedway.com/DELANET.php - - those planning on making use of this system at this weekend's event should download the software and read the instructions.
Reading the instructions is critical, you will not be successful in connecting to the system without reading and understanding the instructions.
Remember, to make this work you will need:
1. A windows laptop running Windows XP or newer. Most laptops manufactured in the last 5 years meet requirements.
2. The laptop must have a decent wireless card that can pick up the wireless network called "DELANET" - - the login password is available from where you get your transponders. This password can change throughout the season.
3. You will also need write down the "ip address" posted as well (ie. 192.168.xxx.xx) - - once you are connected to the DelaNET wireless network, you then launch the rMonitor software and enter this address. This address can change weekly.
If you need assistance and you see me walking around the infield, don't hesitate to ask for help. We are fortunate enough to be one of the only short tracks in North America running this system and it is a great tool for both fans and drivers.
Best of luck this weekend,

Hey John, where is the wireless setup? On top of the hill or down in the infield? I think I have a pretty decent wireless card but depending on where I pit each week I can't always get a very good signal.
Top of the broadcast tower is the main point - - if you are within sight line of the tower, you should be able to pick up a strong enough signal for the rMonitor software. Things like trailers and other obstructions can interfere with the wireless signal, but it is quite strong generally.
never thought of that, i'll have to give that a shot first before i go out and get a stronger card
It would be cool if they broadcasted it online via the website for the people who cannot make the races. Kinda like what ARCA does with there timing and scoring and the track P.A. feed.
