Just my opinion: Many tracks lay claim to PR gimics about their track and I suppose it works to a degree. I would think if these attempts were made at 3 different legitamate 1/2 mile I.D. tracks it would mean more in the way of driver, car, and set up to justify all ways and means.
As it stands it is a Bristol only record.
I don't entirely agree with that...Sprint Cars and Supermodifieds run on 1/2 mile tracks all the time, and the Sprints in particular run at high-banked 1/2 miles like Winchester and Salem each year...so there is a frame of reference to compare what they did at Bristol to other tracks.
