With the goal of bringing new drivers into the mix, Delaware Speedway has introduced the updated Bone Stock series which takes many of its rules from the classic Enduro races of the 1990’s – - which includes leaving disabled vehicles on the track.  With the updates to the vehicle preparation guide and new format one thing becomes clear: these are not the Chaos Cars you remember.

The goal for the series is simple.  It aims to provide an easy and fun entry into racing that anybody can afford.  With the new format updates, the series has become the fastest growing at the speedway and there is still time left for you to put one together before opening day.

About the Races:

    * Cheap cars, no technical setup allowed, safety only upgrades.
    * Track is either green flag racing, or red flag stop.
    * Classic 1990’s Enduro “Play-it-as-it-lies” rules are in full effect (damaged vehicles are left on the race track unless a driver is able to get it to the infield – - so don’t spend too much on that car!)
    * Race length is based on the number of participants (50 cars would be a 50-lap race, 75 cars would be a 75-lap race etc.)
    * New points “achievement” system promotes fun over performance (see below).

How you can drive one:

    * Vehicle can be prepared dirt cheap – - most of the cost is transferable safety equipment that can be moved from car to car.
    * Takes a short time to prepare the vehicle (some teams have gotten cars ready in a weekend).
    * Any completely stock, front-wheel drive, four and six cylinder car is eligible.

The Bone Stock series is designed to provide a cheap, fun entry into racing for drivers.  The division is an ideal stepping stone to GAW Recycling Enduro racing or weekly racing, or for drivers who just want to have fun bombing around the race track in low-cost vehicles.

Achievement Unlocked: How the Points Work

The Bone Stock points system is based on achievements that drivers can earn throughout the season and during the events.  Additional achievements may be added at any time.  Here is the achievement list drivers will be using to try to become champion of the Bone Stock Chaos Cars:

Wow real cost affordable when you're having guys put themselves in position to tear stuff up every single lap. Real safe

I am not part of the Delly staff in any way, but do know these are for fun more than anything. This class is designed to be exciting for the people watching, just like old Enduro's. One, if you don't want to do these things... don't. Two, most of these achievements are one or two per race. They are designed to be entertainment, and you can opt to do it or not. Unsure if John has finalized the point system, but originally there were many thought up towards actual racing.  Give it time, this is a new system, and it is still cutting teeth. I'm sure it will get tweaked over time.
