Stephen’s racing plans “modified” this year!
The SRracing team is thrilled to announce an exciting new dimension to our racing team. We have purchased a second car, an Open Wheel Modified, to run part time during the 2008 racing season at Delaware Speedway.
The Open Wheel Modified was delivered on Sunday Jan 26, 2008 from Bob Morris who is a long time racer at Delaware. The team is hoping this will prove to be a great learning tool, for the crew as well as Stephen. The Open Wheel Modified will be a big challenge, as the car is significantly different from the Super Stock. And yes, it is much faster!
“I am looking forward to driving this awesome car, it will be a great experience for me” said an excited Stephen.
With the addition of the new car, the SRracing team will be running almost every Friday night at Delaware Speedway during the season. Stephen will be racing no more than 5 races in the Open Wheel Modified car this year to retain his rookie status in this class. The new car will carry the 24 number and the familiar smile on the front.
Please check our web site for the schedule for both cars.

The Super Stock is still our main racing focus as we hope to surpass the results of our superb 2007 racing season.
Stephen Richmond was the youngest driver in the Super Stock division at Delaware Speedway last year. He won the “Rookie of the Year” award, finished in 7th place in the points standings and won a feature race. Stephen has been racing cars since he was 8 years old.
