I heard that this may happen. Apparently there has been interest by other series about running at Cayuga next year. There may be a couple of Nascar races (probably the Canadian Tire Series since the big three schedules have already been announced). Also corporate Canada seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and wanting to be involved. To me this is good news for Cayuga's rejuvenation (and Canadian racing as well). It's been a while since any big name companies have stepped up (ie. Molson, AC Delco etc).
That sounds like fun. I forget, does Cayuga still have functional lighting? (Its been a couple of years) I find it interesting they didn't go with Sunday afternoon.
Yeah, they have functional lighting...IIRC the Cayuga race over Labour Day weekend was finished under the lights...I'd imagine Flamboro's got to be pretty pissed off over this one, though....
Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought the track re-building was going to take the entire season? Did I miss a press release?
