The Cayuga schedule shows the Auto Value 410 sprint cars running the same night Sept 15 (!) as the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals, 20 minutes away at Oshweken. I acknowlege one is paved, one is dirt, but sprint car fans would likely attend both if they were on separate nights! Man what a lack of forsight!
the tracks dont work together when doing there schedules .they could care a less whats going on at a different track.as for me i will be at cayuga.i lot of us will not support oshweken unless they run the odlm latemodels.

Race tracks have to look out for their own best interests just like any other business. The Canadian racing season is a relatively short one, and there are only so many weekends available. They all have to work with the schedules of traveling series as well as there own regular racing season (where applicable). Race track promoters and race series organizers have almost never worked together (it would be impossible to make everyone happy anyway). As race fans, we just have to choose which races we want to attend. It's always been this way and probably always will. Too many races to choose from isn't the worst problem to have.
no, but the ever dwindling fan base is something they might have to consider. Fans will now have to choose and I can see Cayuga losing. Likely 85 360s at Oshweken and 18-20 410s at Cayuga will be a major contributing factor as to where one goes. A natural would have been to have the Cayuga Auto Value show on the Sunday, the day after the CSCN.l.
I would likely go to Cayuga had it been on another day. And Hurricane7, to boycott Oshweken because they're not having the ODLM late models back is comparing apples and oranges (or in the ODLM case I guess yellows!)
