CRO,First of all ,they never said it would be ready for the first Nascar CTS Race at Vaughan or anywhere else. They were not even going to hold the first race last labour  day.So where you got that from? Who Said they don`t know what it would cost? Funny stuff about people saying things that work there,AHHH the truth like they know, everybody thinks these owners are stupid but they are the ones with all the money and success. That is the problem with keeping past employee`s from a company that was dead, who do you think had a hand in helping the track be in that condition it was in?The people from the past!. They all know the right way to do things to make it a success,Yeah NOBODY did anything for almost 10yrs.Now someone spends time and money and now everybody out there is now an expert, haha And seeing as i am a new user here and being told i don`t know the facts, and don`t come on here to make a statements which means this is a waste of my time, If i was going to shed some light on things now you can continue to have a site that is full Rumors and crap instead of the truth. Thanks for your warm welcome,So good luck in your RUMOR WORLD.

TC.  You come to this board and start swinging a stick at everyone as soon as you walk in the door.  You take a thread that has been inactive for a few weeks and use it to stir the pot here.  If you really cared about Cayuga and its new owners, you would have let a sleeping dog lay.  I am not so sure what your ultimatum is, but you appear to have joined this board for a single purpose.  Maybe its to draw out negative comments, not eliminate them.  Chill a bit, will you.

There seems to be some confusion about Cayuga's original plans. I attended the press conference at the NASCAR Speed Park last summer. The original plan was the run the CASCAR race on the Labour Day Weekend of 2006. Immediately after the race the construction equipment was going to move in, level the place and begin building the new faclility. There would not have been a 2007 season at the track due to the construction. The new facility would be ready for 2008.

In the fall of 2006 people on this site and other reported no activity at Cayuga. I e-mailed the track to get an update and received no response.

Cayuga had a booth at the Canadian Motorsports Expo in April of 2007 and I had a chance to speak to Eugene Croken who was manning the booth. They had changed the timeline of upgrades. Instead of creating the end-product all at once it was to be an evolutionary process over several years. They had intended to build a rodeo arena, a motocross track and an off-road racing track this year. Does anyone know if any of it happened? I e-mailed Eugene after I wrote an article for my site in order to get his feedback. I never heard from him.

At the original summer 2006 press conference Bob Slack was on hand and it was announced that he was acting as a consultant to the new owners. Does anyone know if Bob is still on the scene there?

I really don't know much more than that.

Some problems that I've seen:
-they made a huge announcement and then changed their plans without a follow up announcement
-they don't answer e-mails
-the website is lacking information
-there are no contact names on the site. I have no idea who is running the place. Is there anyone there with any racing promotion experience or track management experience?

TC which I think stands for Tim Chapman??

I was at the press release at the speedway park and they said they were tearing it down right after the last Cascar race there and it would be ready for the inaugural race of the Nascar Canadian Tire Series.

Please don't insult us here or blame things on the past employee's they still have, as it starts from the top and trembles down. If past employees are the problem it would be the new owners jobs to say this is the way we are going to run the track and if you don't want to do it this way you can look for a new job.

I can't seem to find the package from that day but that is how it was presented to us.

Instead of trying to fight with us here they should be learning from this as it is not only Fans that are upset but also media as I spoke to a couple people back in may and they weren't to impressed either.

For a business to do well they need to listen to the bad and try and make things better not fight with their customers.

Also who would you blame this on http://www.cayuga2000speedway.com look at this site. Wasn't that the old site??
