Can we have the complete results of the late Model races?
How was Kenny Baird and the car of Al Dickie?
Carol Jean
Well interesting night...6 cars showed up ::)
Kennedy punted Dorning(Al Dickie's car) on corner 3-4 to win the heat. Dorning was clearly upset and packed up the car and went home.
So 5 cars ran the 2nd heat and feature.
I know Kenny won the feature and I THINK he won the 2nd heat, not 100% sure tho.
Not sure of other results but the cars who were there were..
Baird
Holtom
Rump
Perkins
Kennedy
Dorning in Al Dickie's car
Carol Jean...did you enjoy the show in Kawartha?
I loved it.
I was a little bid upset with the performance of Kenny Baird's car since I am the designer of the chassis of this car. The car was fast, but unequal. It was running between 18.40 sec and 18.80. To be competitive in front, we needed 18.40 consistent. We have to work to gain that missing 0.4 second to be competitive against the best ACT team at Ottawa august 9th and 10th for the double header.
For sure, ACT is real top competition.
Carol Jean
ACT is for sure the best of the best for these Late models no doubt!
I'm sure it would have helped if you had 4 new tires on it to start the 200 lapper. I'm sure Kenny burnt them off getting into the feature! all around a good performance by him with tough competition!!
Next time you're at CCS, you'll have to let me know, I'll have to catch up with you!
That's why you shouldn't schedule late models the week after a big race like that.
