while it is great to see a "canadain" getting a legit shot my concern is should one of the very few seats available go to a pen wheel guy. nothing against the big V loved his father and him always cheered but why not a canadain STOCK CAR driver, anyhow i will wish V all the luck in the world do us proud.
I think it is fine....you ahve to do whats best for your business and Villeneuve has won the most vovetted championship for racing in the world...he has an incredible talent and should be awarded for it...hopefully his arrogance will reside a bit and he will be like the other drivers....
barrie i am not saying he doesn't deserve it my point is is there not a stock car driver out the in Canada who does ie either white out of bc, or dowler or nichol in alta or shirley form sask numerous drivers from ont. is the only thing canada can produce an open wheel star? ps it ain't arrogance or cocky if you can back it up, he has.pss what the he** is vovetted mean, a new eastern slang???
Sorry Hill3
Covetted is what I meant.
I didn't mean it to sound like that, i just think that he is a better racer, period, than any of those other "stock car" drivers. The only one I would say is an exception is JR Fitzpatrick as he is young enough to mold and to put some money behind....carpentier will be the next big name canadian to sign on full time i think...and out french open wheel talent is as good as any country....thats y imo we have so many open wehel guys getting a shot.
i think it has more to do with the money a name can bring not talent, this is to bad nascar will turn into f1 if it continues down this path. V demands $$$ that davis can use. and i'd bet a crate motor to a bent basset rim that you scratch hard enough there is a connection between carp. and gillette. just a thought,i also believe there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll too. could not resist the coveted shot thu.
