I wouldn't quit your day job for that...
MSRP was getting around $25,000 per race, which may sound like a lot. But $10,000 budgit for one race is way off, if that were true, I'd be out trying to qualify for Daytona this year. I'll just use my Thundercar budget LOL
If the car cost your 100,000 thats 3,333 /per race for 30 races (using the same car). 2 guys on staff to run the team at 50,000 per year each, thats another 3,333 / per race. So far we've racked up $6,666 and haven't even made it near the track.
I wld still after all expenses say they brought home 150,000 per car.

If it really was about start and park to make a profit, you wouldn't put a driver like Todd Bodine in, that you would have to pay. I doubt it would be hard to find either a rich guy, or a guy wanting to make a name for himself, that will pay over $25,000 the prize money, to be in the seat. I can see a buiness being made out of that, and unless I'm mistaken that was guys like Randy McDonald do, rent a car, which is a realistic busniess, not a start and park..
as far as i know, Randy Mcdonald owns all his stuff, except his motors i believe. There old Superspeedway car was a car they found that had been sitting in someones barn for awhile, and i think they new one they got off Ganessi
i've also never heard of Tood Bodine being in a Start-and-park car in the Nationwide series ... he has a full time ride in trucks. Your costs are alittle off, there is no need for MSRP to spend $100,000 per car if they don't plan on turning more than 10 laps a race .. you can pick up very decent cars for $60-80K .. not including the cost of the car, as thats a capitol cost, a $10,000 budget per week is doable .. 1 set of tires, 22 gals of fuel, and $1500 per driver (if that) .. you haul both cars in the one trailer to save on travel costs and your pretty much there
so sell your thunder car and go nationwide racing
I think they also HAVE to have a set number (6) of crew to qualify as a team?
