that's too bad, woulda been nice to see Tommy back at the greatest show on asphalt...
HE does put on a good show. ARP likes him too ;D
I'd say Baker has a good shot at the repeat, but he can't get too occupied with helping out Kyle or it will be Mcleod for sure. I would say that the normal Top runners are going to be up front in the Thundercar division. Davies, Doucette, St.Onge.....but your going to see the talent of my dad Dave Melson long time driver since 1979 at Barrie Speedway in the family number 38 come into the mix in 2008 with a well prepared car unlike the 50 car he bought last year but still ran strong passing both Doucette and St. Onge at one point with the crate motor, a loose ill handling car and a rear end that was bent out of shape and some old tires, plug wires that were falling apart and sparking outside of the wires...lol. He will be a strong contender for the win every night but I am not sure he has it in him to stay calm and be on the wheel consistantly in his last year of racing in his career. If Dave can be consistant and take the 2nd and 3rd's and 4th's instead of trying too hard and something bad happening then I think he will be in the top 5 in points. It has always been a thing for Dave (my dad) to either wreck, or win....consistancy will lead to the champion being honoured this year in both divisions. I wish everybody luck and hope everybody has fun out there
that must of been in practice when doucett and st onge were wating to go out,i do remeber your dad bieng laped by st onge and your dad took him out!
the 50 car he bought last year but still ran strong passing both Doucette and St. Onge at one point with the crate motor,
Actually Dave Melson didn't take out Darryl St. Onge.
Darryl was having brake issues and got into Dave.
I was there when they were talking about it between themselves.
That #50 car had some issues but I had it on the watch at 15.7, Dave did 16.0 in my car, right away, after being out of the car for 10 years.
Those other two cars may have been faster, but not by a lot, maybe 2 or 3 tenths max.
