hes back for 08 i assume...?
I would suggest that with the new rules regarding tin kits it really doesn't matter much what body you are running. A metric body is going to weigh about the same as a "w" body when you gut it. I have weight in to get my car to minimum and I would suggest pretty well everyone else does too, new gen or old.
The crate is different from what I understand. And I don't think too many guys run them anymore. The #9 and maybe the #2 are the ones I know about. I am not interested in the crate. If we could use the 602 then maybe...
I would go along with Thayne and say that I don't think the cars are too different. My car came from Sunset. Load bolts make it easier to set up, 9" is all about reliability, and 1" wider tire. Other than that it's all pretty close. If there is some other huge differences someone please tell me. I know our rule book and I have seen Sunset's.
In '07 there were 3 cars running for the Championship. It may well change this year, but I expect those three cars to be runnin' and gunnin'.
I'll give you Sunset guys this. Your 4 cylinders are faster and you have a lot of them. The top 3 Thunder Cars from Barrie have their cars dialed. I am not going to comment AT ALL about LM. Just not gonna go there.
I had great times last year at Frosty Fest and can't wait for this year.
as far as i know Spencer...I will ask him tomorrow.
A LLM with a bad clip LOL spoken like a true "Fun Set" fan and as for the crate motor thing again I must laugh!!! Lindstone (not a crate) Holden (Not a crate) the rules are pretty equal I'd say New Gen VS Old Gen and if ur implying other wise "KNOW YOUR FACTS" if the rules favoured the new gen so badly why hasn't one won the championship yet in the 3yrs they've been around??? and ya every track has thier guys who go to the front everynight get used to it!! there's guys that race and do homework and then there's guys who just drive a race car and and don't touch it through the week! those who race will get to the front everytime!!! it's the name of the game!! A new Gen is the same chassis with a newer body plain and simple the tin kits are virtually the same now as for Doucette having an ill handling car that didn't happen very often this year and yes sir he is a hard charger, does his homework and looks after his car, all these steps lead too (you guess it bud) Victory Lane!!! So in a nutshell it's time to get over it and quit complaining if you want the heat bring it if not take it to sunset!! I hear Rick Walt is coming and he was one of the faster cars at the dump on the hump!!! Welcome aboard Rick glad to see you've see the light!! bottom line is those who wanna race and go fast come to Barrie those who don't go to Sunset!!! 'nuff said!
It's good to hear that Ricky is coming back!
