Hi race fans
I want to start my tread off by saying i love the speedway and and dont indend this to be a bash post..As i sat there last weekend praying for the sky's to clear i had some time to look around
I can look past the weeds growing up throught the stands some 3 feet tall .I can look past the half empty garbage cans from the week before .I can look past the ankle breaking ruts from the rain..
But what really gets me ,is how the heck can any buisness owner in their right mind dispay Canadian flags like that ..the flags are a mess ,so i SHOUT out to the owners of Barrie Speedway.....TAKE DOWN THE FLAGS.....!
Well I must reply to this one. Not so much take down the Canadian flags, however if they are in deed in need of a wash, then do so and rehang, if they are in need of replacing then do so. We as canadians should be proud of our country and should display our flag wherever possible. Respect for our flag is respect for this great country we live in. Replace the flags if needed and show how proud we are as Canadians. JMO

Agreed. Its no my home track, so not much of my business, but worn and faded flags, Canadian or otherwise, makes a place look run down. And no, there's no excuse for a shoddy looking Canadian flag at all. Not when our boys are losing lives overseas in the name of that very same flag.
You can get Canadian flags quite reasonable at lots of places....even Canadian Tire has them.
To add to this.....they also don't play the National Anthem at the start of the night.
its too bad we Canadians dont feel as patriotic as our southern neighbours....i drove down to Rochester to catch a game beaten the Americans and the Hamilton Bull dogs and I couldnt believe how many houses had the stars and stripes displayed....had to be every atleast every 4th house...heck they play the athem at Ohsweken...lol.
