Hey just a thought, all the cars have transponders on them, which allows the track to get acurate lap times, or at least that is my understanding. So maybe what determines what class you run in is the lap time. If you run low 17's you go pure stock and if you run high 17's you run charger. There are drivers in pure stock with cars that in my opinion should be in the charger division, not because of lack of experience, but that is where there car would be competitive. The track should record the lap times for a couple of weeks in the feature runs, and determine which cars should be in which class. I think it would certainly balance out both classes for number of cars. Just a thought.
Yorkie, you wouldn't be able to get a good read of lap times in the features cause cars would be stuck behind slower cars which would slow some lap times down. I say base it on practice speeds and heat races cause cars tend to spread out more in heat races. they'd have a better read that way. But i see what your trying to say!
Well just trying to throw out some ideas that would make the divisions fair for all. Trying to be constuctive with ideas. If BSW officials do read these theads them maybe constructive ideas may very well spark some thinking on the part of officials for next year.
