Statsman is too busy fending off rapists in Johannessberg to be handicapping but I wld agree on that if he were around.

why not bring back the trophy dash? top 6 cars that finished in the feature inverted finishing order, start the race and run 6 laps! was fun to watch. no points, just trophy and bragging rights!

Old school. I love it. The promotors changed the format some years ago. Why?

Promotors changed it because it saved them money . With the old system they had to pay Heat winners and Semi winners . The points were easy to calculate back then since you earned 1 point for every 5 dollars you made .

Now that is an awesome idea as that race was always interesting 🙂

KD pays heats, semi and feature. Mosport pays feature. At the end of the day it pays the same.

Slow cars upfront is not nessicarly a bad thing. There are certain cars, that are setup to be rocketships when then are running alone. Making them get around the slower cars, means that you have to work more on a car than handles in traffic. Being a slower car, having been started up front, I hold my line. Faster cars make it around on the outside, and it tends to bunch the field of cars up, so once the faster cars get by, they always tend to end up in a pack. I've always enjoyed watching the great drivers dance their way through the field, and would rather watch that, than them running away from the pack on their own.

But hey, its a good idea. By all means try it out. Worst that could happen is to go back to the way things are now.
