I would suggest that it is important to vote, to have a part in the process of democracy. I do not agree with the actions and policies of a certain political party that has, until recently been in power. Nevertheless a RACING forum is not the place to discuss politics that are not directly involved in racing. This is my opinion which i am entitled to of course, thankfully because a great many Canadians went to war on behalf of our society and for democratic rights which we have and will continue to have. I have thanked veterans, both those of world wars and other local wars, peacekeepers and also those who stand in harm's way for us every day. I was very pleased to hear about "Heroes Night" (for members of the Military, Police, Ambulance Service and Firefighters) at Delaware Speedway, and I hope it was a very successful event for them. As most Emergency Service workers would tell you (and I would suggest Soldiers as well) we are not "heroes", we are just doing our jobs, but it's nice to be recognized for a job well done once in awhile.
good words thunder6. and you are right but does a little education even here hurt that much. sometimes if you hit the right button it sets me off, sorry about that. ps did you notice the armed forces banner at the Montreal ncts race? we had them last year as a corprate partner at acms and were very proud to do so. hows that fir returning to a race thread.
I did not see the race, but it is good that they have the advertising up for recruitment. I think many young people discount the Armed Forces and service to their country as a suitable career choice, and hopefully the numbers will come up through these initiatives. I am proud of my service to my community, and I would encourage anyone to pursue any of these noble professions. I have many friends who are soldiers, and they all tend to be stand up individuals who are always loyal and selfless, and we are lucky to have them serving us as a community.
thayne thieves all the time...just ask him
I have been known to thieve the odd time..."charger" who are you? Jeff?
geez Thayne I thought you were right on top of things on this forum. Charger is a charger driver at barrie speedway. I won't say who cause that is not my place. But don't worry he's a great guy.
