I think the layout is clean and I don't mind a bit of advertising. After all, it's a business so fair play to them.
Only hope they keep the results updated in a more timely manner than historically. That will be a reasonable reflection on how the track is doing as a whole, regular updates require money for the web guys and time invested. If the site starts to lag you can be sure they've hampered the purse strings.
On a personal-pet-peeve point, I'm really starting to get tired of the "SPECTACULAR AERIAL VIEW OF BARRIE SPEEDWAY" image and text. It's a cheap attempt at fluffing the track.
Taken at dusk, the shot shows the Canadian Series drivers being led by the pace car down the front straightaway. What really takes your breath away however is the absolute sea of cars, campers and haulers. It's amazing how far the track has come in just a few shorts years!
Hmmm, so they wouldn't be the sea of Burls Creek cars, campers and haulers then. no? :-X
i know what you mean, that was taken during the flea market weekend and the cascars were there as well. i think they want people to think its a regular saturday night show!
of course they do! and if I am a first time person looking at the site i am impressed...haha...
Barrie used to be one of the best speedway sites to keep their info current. A few years back, the finishes and points were posted by Sunday night as the norm. It's basically been since the last change in ownership that the site went backwards.
