JR, great pass after great pass. What race were you guys watching? Every car on the track was guilty of at least a few bump and runs but JR drove with the chrome horn all nightt. Talked to a few other spotters and crew members and they all agreed. JR got what was coming to him. As far as Micks goes, where were you guys sitting. On the front stretch I would imagine. That's why you couldn't see JR give the slide job to Micks twice in the last ten laps out of 2 and drove him to the inside wall twice. Kerry actually let him straighten it out once. NASCAR definately has to address the pair of them running at race speed down pit road after the race. Crews were already over the wall. The fight afterwards though was great. I like to see the passion coming back to the sport.
One question. Why does NCATS schedule a race where they know cars are going to get torn up 4 days before they leave to go out west?
These guys will have cars fixed to go out West, real racers race !
There used to be on long week-ends races for Sat. Sun & Mon. for LM, not they can hardly run 1 night "wimps".
Tipical racing bumping & banging but why Micks was not put back to the back also as yes he caused JR to wreck did he not & at any other track he would have been black flagged at end .Why not well NASCAR makes the calls & sorry guys as he Micks did cause wreck as for feature races like last 2 could be wild indeed as if they (Nascar) could not make the call on Micks well this opens up for wild crazy racing these next 2 races & sure hope Nascar hauls those 2 guys (JR & Micks) together and read themthe riot act.
Sandra, what is all your jibberish about real racers race or that they used to run 3 LM shows in 3 nights. Yes, of course they will have their cars fixed but why make them have to deal with it. White's car needs a new clip and most others need body panels. My point is NASCAR could easily fix it with a schedule change. And I don't think those LM races back in the day were 2000 kilometres apart. They didn't reclip a car they wrecked Friday and run on the weekend either. You are obviously lashing out because you are still be pissed that the 71 was again the Kawartha champion. Congrats Dan.
And racerfan22, it took me a while to decipher your post but never said that Micks didn't cause the 84 to wreck, just that JR deserved it. And if they were to black flag Micks for that, most of the field would have been parked by lap 150. The track is far too small for the series to run a real race. Fast cars + small track + one groove = wrecked cars + hot tempers. That being said, it was one of the most entertaining events I have seen in quite a while. I hadn't been to Barrie in over a decade and the track was beautiful and the staff were top notch. I can't wait for next years event.
