They are the same tread design same, same tire ratings. The only thing is the tread compound that is different
Falken Tire is proud to announce the launch of the new Azenis RT615-K. While the original RT615 proved to be a dominant force in the DOT approved and truly street functional competition tire category, we’ve decided to make it even better. The K in the new RT615-K can have many meanings but none describe the second generation 615 better than KAIZEN. By definition, this Japanese word means "continuous improvement" which precisely describes the newest edition to the Azenis lineup. Visually, nearly identical to its predecessor, the subtle K on the sidewall is the only tell tale sign of what lies within its completely revised tread compound.
I dont buy the fact these Ks will give you 4 tenths just by bolting them on.
Ive heard everyone going out and buying 4 or 6 brand new Ks, you might be suprised its not the HOT TICKET. A bad handling car will not bennifit from new rubber.
Those Yokos ya ok, big difference, but these things arent that much different then the old ones.
I'm going to dis agree with you Carlie. Until you have races on both you cant truely comment. The k is worth at least 2 tenths and maybe 4 tenths. Ask Andre what his experience was with the car you have when he put in the k tires. He told me 2 tires 2 tenths. When i put 2 on the front I could drive it in deeper and got To a point I had to put a k on the right rear to keep the car from breaking loose on enter. Put new k on and problem solved. Will it fix a car that is doesn't handle well at all and be a saving grace to everyone? No. But if your car setup fairly well these tires WILL give you at least 2 tenths and it's been proven in Ottawa kawartha Peterborough and Barrie. If you want a chance to win you have to run the k. If you win without the k put the k on and become dominant:)

I have 2 Ks on the car right now, and 2 regular 615s on the left, Im gonna try it the way it is for practice and likely the first night, depending on speeds on practice days.
i would say a brand new k vs a brand new non-k is not very much a tenth a tire is a little much....however it does make sense that the guys replaced the tires that are half wore out and the car could be driven harder and not lose as much speed thru a full run...... new tires vs old tires big difference, maybe iam wrong.....but we will see....... maybe right sides are the ticket...these cars dont exactly run on all 4 tires like a thunder or llm would when it comes to weight distrbution and balance..they are too limited to in the suspension........
