Gary u know i have respect for u, but i think u may be a lil outta line here...they both ran a full season and billy won hands down...whether Desi (who i also like and get along well with) gets a NASCAR plaque or not everyone knows billy won the championship, fair and square...
and if anyone wants to know, that motor had never been apart before, ask my bro (a mechanic) who took it apart...the car has 150 hp stock and 135 ftp of tourque..it isn't cheating it is fast stock...
and as an aside..the spark plugs may be original too L0L...there was mvre carbon on them than i have seen on most passenger cars...
congrats to both Desi and Billy, heh, second aint nothing to sneeze at either, i wish i clda finished up there in the points...

not trying to burst your bubble but Desi will not be awarded any championship ring this year. The ring is a track champion ring paid for and awarded by the new track owners as I do recall....So that ring is all Billy's....Although Desi will recieve Nascar 1st place plaque and money because of Billy's age. But a heck of a season for both. Desi should be proud of herself and her accomplishments this year as she really stepped up her driving from last year by a country mile. She has been given credit for her accomplishments this season by many people. maybe not many people on CRO but from the people that should matter......Congrats to all the champions of BSW.

Ok now my turn!!! First off congrats to Billy Melenhorst. 14 years old and Barrie's youngest track champion says alot of his talents. And Desi has nothing to be ashamed of either, she ran hard and clean all season long and 2nd is really good after an 8th or 9th last year in the standings!! She is definitely vastly improved and thats what its all about in the Charger class( well that and fun) I know it must be heartbreaking to lead most of the year and not come home with the prize in the end. That shouldnt take away from all you accomplished this year though hunni!! But she's young, and still got some learning and maturing to do so cut her some slack people. Now if she was being unsportman/woman like and didnt congradulate Billy and such, thats a bit of a different animal!!! In any point race that is that close you'd be crazy not to want the car that finished ahead of you to be checked out!!! Sounds logical enough to me?? A certain official told me himself that these cars (Charger division) havent really been weighed/checked out throughly much this year at all, so it maybe considered by some as grasping at straws/bad sportmanship if you will, theres nothing wrong with her wanting Billy's car checked either. Once again good season Billy and was really nice meeting you, Ben and your Mom and Dad this season. All quality folks in my mind. Enjoy the harsh Stayner winter, and hope to see you all at the banquet whenever that might be slated for.
