Ok, heres an idea. If women want to be treated equally (as they should) in a male dominated sport, they should take and give the same way a male does. For example, their parents or boyfriend or whoever should not go beserko when they are run into. They should not scream, cry and throw fits. And they should be subject to the same critisism about thier driving, attitude and sportsmanship. A "young impressionable girl" , in motorsports should be ready and confident in herself to do what all the men do, let it roll off your back and become a better driver. I would like to clarify i have never watched a four cyl race, or either of them race. So cant say on the specifics, only on principle. And on principle, having someone tore down, is the dirtiest thing you can do at a racetrack minus hitting someone going into the corner while they are turning in. Racing is racing whether it is in the lowest class of 4 cyls or in cascar. No one likes to be beat, but beating yourself is easy with poor choices.

Everyone worked hard this year and should be proud of their accomplishments! It would be hard to lead as long as she did and come 2nd. But hey 2nd is awesome!! I would have been running laps around the track with excitment!! There is always next yr. and lots of awards for them to win at the banquet! Good luck to everyone for that!
Can't wait to see everyone there and enjoy a night together!
Congratulations to everyone again. Let's enjoy what we did accomplish as I know first hand that it could have been worse, lol.... my 5 yrs of racing have always been looking forward to the next yr, hoping it would be better, and it will come. Everyone get's their turn in the limelight eventually. Last year was an amazing yr for myself and I couldn't have had more fun. This yr was definitley a testament of the team, but they worked their butts off and showed what a great, hardworking bunch they are! We should all look to what we learned and be proud of what we overcome rather than being upset over what could have happened.
Everyone did amazing!
Cheater --- I agree with alot of what you said... And why can't girls defend themselves though? (Unless I misunderstood what you meant in that section and you meant that they should be the only ones to deal with the issue, in which case, I totally agree) I have seen guys go bazerko when they get hit... A girl has a right to stick up for herself just as much as a guy does. I give a girl more credit for sticking up for herself rather than getting someone else to go after people for her (not saying that happened but if it were to)
P.S Which I have to add, if it is to be equal, we shouldn't be looked down on saying it is "unlady like" if we do decide to have some words with other drivers.

Cheater..
Fair enough, however the reality is she is indeed " a young impressionable girl" (and yes she probably will learn to deal with losses as well as wins better ). Yet I have seen quite a few drivers, and crew members that are not so young or female go "berserko" this year.  it is a highy adrenaline charged sport, and sometimes actions come out before the thought process and ya absolutely I think it is dirty to tear someone down, I thought this last night as i watched the #2 get tore down however if it is in the rules then drivers, crew or yes even boyfriends have every right to utilize it. the only point I am trying to make is...it is what it is no amount of bashing a driver is going to change it.
JMO
Cheers

I was speaking about parents, boyfriends etc. Go ahead, freak out . It's all good, just dont let your Dad, or mom, or boyfriend go and meltdown on some poor bugger who put the wheels to a "girl". The wheels get put to guys all the time, and very few act like girls about it. Actually more than a few! lol. I just mean if you want to be taken as a racer, act like a racer. Just because you can tighten up the crotch belt with no fear of pain, doesnt mean the guys should race you any different.

I know that I am the only female to go "Berseko" this year. And hey it is a highly adrenalined sport, I agree with that for sure. But I knew exactly what I was doing and if you try to talk sensable to someone and get laughed at and continously be smashed because of that driver, weather it be him that do it or the consequence because of their actions, I am sure you would get mad too.
There are only so many times you can accept "racing incidents" as the reason and try to make that as the excuse to yourself to not get mad at someone. I treated that driver with respect as we all should and if he wants to snicker and belittle me, well of course I will get angry, I think anyone would. So I tried be be nice before going "Berserko" and sorry if you only know of me as a berserko person now rather than a person that tried to respect and be respected but got rudeness in return  :-[ and that other person be looked at with a halo.... Just kinda frustrates me
