The lucky dog rule is the way to go. In our Lucas/Tirecraft series we employ the lucky dog deal. All lapped cars start at the rear of the feild and it creates a race within a race and keeps the carnage down. Not to mention that it doesn't instantly end a night for someone. It leaves the door open for a comeback.
MapleLeafs I would say that this is something to talk to the owners about as the racing was good from what I have heard and don't feel a food concern should take away from it.
My suggestion is call the track or send Diane a message here and tell her your suggest.
Thanks and Great to hear of the good turn out and some good racing. It seems from what I can see new owners that care about racing can turn tracks around.
It was asked for suggestions on how to improve the event for next year and that was one suggestion I had. Another is to have more people working on selling tires and putting them on the wheels, that line was rediculous as well especially when you have 20 teams buying basically 4 tires each.
I can see if I can pull it off the computer davey, I was just checking this before I headed off to Brampton for the weekend. so just give me a few mins and I will see what I can do. As for the lucky dog, ya it would have been a good idea as I was asked on the track during the race about it. I would have loved to give it to you guys but it wasn't discussed before hand with all the late model drivers that it would have be present or not as for lap times I wasn't able to get any before the night was over namely because I wasn't in the tower. I'll stop by the track on my way down to Brampton and see if I can print them off and get them up here when I return on Sunday.

Thanks alot Sean.. I was wondering how Robin got tangled up at the end of that one as I didnt see it.. Guess he got together with the 54 of Bull at the tail end.. Too bad cause I dont imagine intentional on either side, as both were running a little higher up most of the race.. Tough night for the Sauble cars, don't know what finally took out the super sleek Parker ride, but I noticed him really strugglin in turn 2 in the heat races.
Great finish for Barrie Speedway's own #37 Rick Walt to bring that car to a 6th place result.. Dude can sure wheel a race car.. 😉
