Good crowd, nice turnout of teams for the innagural Reynolds race. LLM went to Mike Bently , with Al Inglis second and Dywane Baker third. Baker was the only car to pass the Ford Fusion of the winner all 100 laps . I will leave it up to the resident reporter with his account of the evening. I enoyed the racing at BSW tonight, first time I have been there in a few seasons, it was nice to feel like it was before the change in numbers. My congratulations to the track folks , and the drivers and crews for a great event.
It was a good night of racing tough place to pass good show and entertaining event. Well done with the Reynold's family partaking in the festivities and a large turn out honouring Garry by his immediate family. To the Barrie Speedway owners and staff job well done as I only attend when we aren't running at Sunset.
Well its nice to see the first post from someone different to kick things off and a positive one at that.. I too found it to be a good night and car counts were impressive with at least 20 cars in each class..From my side there were a few bug a boos here and there, but that's gonna happen at a racetrack not known for holding invi's as well as the first kick at the can for the new ownership group.. That said, I hope the visiting cars at least had fun and felt they were treated decently. The "barnstormers" definitely added to the show regardless of where one might of finished.. So on behalf of Barrie Speedway and its fans thanks for coming!! 😉 I would also like to see this thread used for any POSITIVE suggestions on how to improve this event for next season.. I'm kinda a perfectionist that way.. 😉 I will also start with the first suggestion (go figure).. Open the pit gates at noon next year to allow the visitors a bit more time to settle in and also to allow them more practice..
As for the 20 min rundown gonna have to wait till morning to do a proper job, but I can offer some form of results for now..
Garry Reynolds Memorial 100 Top 5 -- 1st #51 Mike Bentley, 2nd #69 Al "Red Rocket" Inglis, 3rd #48 Dwayne Baker, 4th #95 Kerry Micks, 5th #57 Ron Quesnelle..
Heats went to Baker, Micks, Quesnelle, and #54 Randy Bull..
Thunder Car Top 5 -- 1st #77 Brian Murray, 2nd #12 Jim "Polish Prince" Belesky, 3rd #14 "Hurricane" Thayne Hallyburton, 4th #44 Dave Doucette, 5th #10 Rick Walt..
Heats went to Belesky, Walt, Hallyburton, and #67 Jeff Smith who captured his first ever checkered..
Pure Stock Top 5 -- 1st #89 Cory Horner, 2nd #02 Shawn Murray, 3rd #39 Travis Hallyburton, 4th #91x Kyle Lethbridge, 5th #15 Will Davies..
Heats went to Lethbridge, Hallyburton, #91 Andre Pepin, and #27 Gilles "Frenchy" Harpin who also brought home his first career checkered..
And sorry if I got the 4th place feature finisher wrong cause I jotted down 91 and having both a 91 and 91x in the field might of got that one wrong.. But I seem to think Pepin broke in the feature hense why I went with Lethbridge!!! 😉
OHHHH I almost forgot, full 20 min rundown to follow tomorrow.. Sorry to all my loyal readers but I couldnt report just how decent the night was with my current sleep deprived/jell-o brain.. 😉 I did take lost of notes so should be a good read tomorrow for my CRO bretherin and followers!!!LOL

A suggestion I have is adding more staff to the food booth in the pits, horrid time spent in line-ups tonight there. Not to make it too negative but if they tried what they did tonight at the Canadian Tire race in two weeks they'd be making a huge mistake. But judging by tonight I'll be packing a cooler full of food next time.
