finally we are the show, i hope we get time trials. should be a blast, running one in the sun and one at night. a setup nightmare, but we'll see who can figure it all out!
I wish we would get a lil love too....even an extended feature....we have lost many points nights as well...
Well I thought I"d add a bit of a sneak peak at this weekend's action at Barrie to spruce this thread up a bit. In LLM the Look Company Dodge of McLeod holds a 49 point lead over #10 Gordie
Shepherd with only 4 point races remaining. Gordie sure has his work cut out, as he'd have to gain 12 points per night on Keith and would still then come up a point short. I think Gord needs at least 2 bad races from Keith to have a chance, and he must claim victory at least twice more to have a legit shot at making it a close finish. The real race appears to be for 3rd, between venerable veterans Lewis and Inglis who are separated by just 6 points. These two got together not once but twice last weekend, and both saw their nights end early, so this week could prove to be quite interesting to see if the 69 can close in on the 8. In Thunders, I'm really excited to see the twin 25s this week. Will be interesting to see if they do indeed time trial this division and if anyone can break the track record of 15.479 sec. set by #2 Eddie Tremblay last season. The top Thunders seem to be getting close to this mark during their races so I think it could be possible. No one has even got within 2 tenths of touching McLeod's track record set last year of 14.299 sec. so that one will stand up for another season most likely. I'm just hoping we might see someone grab victory in Thunder that hasnt turned the trick yet in a feature. Lots of good drivers in this grouping Holden, Johnston, Brandon, Elliott, Belesky, Potts, and Denhollander just to name a few are cars that could potentially visit victory lane for the first time in 08. Davey holds a 33 point lead on St. Onge, and again the best battle looks to be for 3rd, with Tremblay and Holden tied in points just a further 10 points back of Darryl. Its a 37 point lead for Crumbie in Pure Stocks over Meyer with the #4 closing the gap in recent weeks. #2 Ben Melenhorst looks to be secure in 3rd after his recent hot streak. The closest point race is in the Charger division with #21 Desi Walt holding a slender 17 point lead over rookie #2 Billy Melenhorst. Neither driver has tasted victory in a feature to date, so this could be the week for one of them. Once again #33 Crystal Doucette appears to be pretty secure in 3rd on the strength of 3 feature wins to date. For the record I'm picking #69 Al Inglis for the LLM feature this week, would be nice to see him get his first feature since returning to the track at the beginning of the 2007 season. Who are you guys liking for the LLM feature win?????
Keith McLeod, hands down , He is so cool behind that Dodge. MR, SMOOTH. He has been the top runner all year and I cannot see him letting anyone take his crown. For sure , Keith McLeod.
Davey I count only 3 LLM points races left. Sat night and a double on Sep 13 only
