Ok folks, time for the brief ramblings of a madman session otherwise known as the 20 min rundown.. WHAT A GREAT NIGHT OF RACING!! One of the best year enders I can recall in recent memory.. There were a couple major stories on this evening, but I'll elect to start with the LLMs.. The story in this division was the final night performance of our newly crowned track champ #57 Ron "The Dominator" Quesnelle who captured both of the twin 50 lap features to cap off what was a dream season for the Sunrise Toyota Camry and the entire Penetang based team.. Ron, was the benefactor of some good luck in the first feature, when the 1st and 2nd place cars of #90 Dave Lewis and #10 Gord Shepherd tangled in corner 4 on lap 40, bringing Quesnelle to the lead, where he would eventually outbattle defending track champ #69 Al "Red Rocket" Inglis on the ensuing restart to take the first segment win..In the second 50, Quesnelle took the lead in the very late stages, passing #54 Randy Bull in 1&2 with just 3 laps remaining in the caution free affair..In the first 50 lapper, Lewis took the initial lead from outside pole, leaving pole sitter #2 "Hometown" Mike Brown to battle side by side with the 10 of Shepherd for the runner up post.. Shepherd, would power past Brown, who suddenly was trapped to the high side in what looked to be a bit of an ailing ride, causing the Hawkestone resident to get shuffled back several more positions as Quesnelle, #11 John Gaunt, and Inglis would all file past Brown's A&R Disposal Services Ford Fusion. Gaunt, who has had some mechanical woes in the past couple weeks, looked to have as good of a ride under him as he's had all season long, evidenced by him progressing inside the top 5 from his 8th place starting position on the grid..At the front of the field meanwhile, Lewis was setting a torrid pace with laps in the 14.9 sec. range, holding Shepherd at bay by 2 car lengths, while Quesnelle was also closing in on the lead duo with each passing lap.. By lap 30, the pace had slowed marginally, with Lewis now running just a shade over the 15 second mark around the 1/3rd mile tri oval configuration.. As mentioned the first caution flew on lap 40, when Lewis and Shepherd tangled out of turn 4, just as it looked like Shepherd would complete a pass on an inside move he originally started by diving down inside Lewis on the exit of turn 2. The only other caution came about just 2 laps later, when Lewis would spin #55 Steve Quesnelle just underneath the flagstand, with both drivers summoned arrears deemed involved cars.. This set the stage for a Ron Quesnelle/Gaunt duel from the front row on the restart, with Quesnelle coming out on top, as Gaunt would in turn lose 2nd to Inglis, who executed a clean inside pass while racing down the backstretch.. With 5 laps remaining, the best battle was the race for 4th, as Shepherd and Bull were locked in a dogfight for that position, with Shepherd coming out on top of that one.. Inglis, would literally hound Quesnelle for the lead during the final 5 lap shootout, but as has been proven time and time again this season once out front the 57 is hard if not impossible to pass, as the laps ran out on Inglis and his Orillia Metal Fabrication Dodge Interpid. Quesnelle, notched the win by just a single car length at the finish, while Inglis, would come to the checkered in the runner up spot, as Gaunt, Shepherd, and Bull rounded out the remainder of the top 5..The second 50 lap feature saw Lewis and Steve Quesnelle battle door handle to door handle for the first couple laps, as Lewis assumed control of the point by lap 3. Also fast to find the front of the field was the 54 of Bull, with the Haliburton resident checking into third throughout the initial stages, while in behind him Gaunt made a brilliant inside move on Shepherd between 1&2 to take over 4th in the running order. Bull, who has improved by leaps and bounds since the opening weeks continued to progress to the front, taking over 2nd from Quesnelle, just after Gaunt had completed the pass of Shepherd in behind. On lap 15, Bull pulled to the outside of leader Lewis and completed the pass while racing into the entrance of corner 3... Bull, appeared to be dominant in this one, opening up a half straightaway lead on the battle for 2nd, now involving Ron Quesnelle and Gaunt, a position Quesnelle would wrestle away from the 2004 track champ when Gaunt pushed high on the exit of turn 2. By lap 31, the man on the move was Inglis, as the talented veteran also would move past Gaunt with a low pass in turn 1. At the front of the field, the commanding Bull lead was evaporating with each passing lap, as Quesnelle began to zero in on Bull's gorgeous Randy's Tree and Landscaping Camaro SS. With six laps remaining, Quesnelle finally caught Bull, and passed him 2 laps later to the low side in between turn 1&2.. From there it was game, set, and match as Quesnelle would cl...

blkflagagain ......i don't know how you do it every week..... remembering everything that went on in the night...and writing all these posts.. :).. ;D but, rookie...Justin Holmes.... and he didn't break anything...and nothing let go... for the last 2 weeks ...thanks to the help of Kyle Lethbridge.... we've been wrecked 2 weeks in a row.... shit happens...and thats racing..but... rookies apologize.. and veterans don't ... that sucks ass... but a few veterans can apologize.. and run with the rookies respctfully ???

Congratulations to Quesnelle, Beleskey and Murray on their championships and to all other BSW drivers for not turning the speedway into a sideshow like Sunset. Quality racing all year long in all three divisions
