I think there are some issues with certain drivers acting out personal vendettas and "walling" drivers. I think this is what Yorkie is talking about and it certainly isn't in keeping with the conduct that drivers should be exhibiting towards other drivers. We have seen several times this year some drivers attack other drivers in the pits and it happens occasionally on the track too. I heard about this particular incident, I didn't see it, but there are certain people who are looking for opportunity to dish out a little "payback" for real or percieved incidents that happened in the past and should be dealt with by discussion, not fighting or walling someone. Sure we all take this stuff very seriously, but I think this is way beyond being seriously competitive.
very wise and smart words thunder if everybody thought like you there would not be any problems 😀
Its great to think like that but when it happens on the track the officials need to do something about it. This comes back to if it doesn't get policed properly then the drivers deal with it themselves. Its one thing to bump someone but to be outright taken out when the guy let you collect your car thats just dirty. And they aren't dealing with whats going on in the pits to well either. Its not rie by any meens but if the officials don't deal with it it just gets bigger and bigger and then too many people get hurt. And IT IS the tracks problem.
the easiest thing to do is blame the track , the track must have alot of remote controls and must drive the cars because thet sure get blamed for everything
In my opinion the track has dealt with issues very well this year. They can only be proactive with certain issues, and they have to be reactive with others. Perhaps they have not seen the WHOLE picture in this incident, so they can only make decisions when they know the details... and only if drivers bring it to their attention of course. If they have the details, all of the facts, I'm sure they would attempt to do the right thing. I saw a bunch of different people SCREAMING at the tech personnel on Saturday night. I wasn't involved with that deal, so I can't really comment on the details of what occured there either, but what causes someone to start shouting at Speedway Staff? How are you going to get what you want from someone by intimidation and generally offensive behavior?
