i agree with yorkie on this one.teach em young teach em right. but the flagman or another official needs to follow up with the why and how so that newbes can learn. just to drop a black with no follow up is inviting problems later on. the key to this is the new driver has to have an open mind and deal with the one issue on hand and be willing to learn and not discuss every other issue under the sun.

Absolutely Hill3, teach them right from the start. Explain why and maybe also if at all tell how to avoid repeat occurances. I truly believe this is one of the main keys to less problems in the future.

Crystal has shown amazing improvement. The flag guy did warn her all through the second heat to pick a lane. She was driving her car over the yellow line, not picking a lane.  She has taken the driving school as well, so it definitley has helped her a lot.......
But he did warn her... I was right behind her the whole race

I agree, and it can be very frustrating. It is her first year. She is not going to be perfect, no one will be ever. We all make mistakes. It would have been better for him to talk to her at the end of the night, rather than black flag her. You know, give her the heads up. She obviously didn't realize it, plus we are in the learning class, mistakes will happen. It was an honest one on her part.
