Yeah, I'm in, we're putting it back together tomorrow.
C'mon Guys, I am sure you are going to tell us now that butter wouldn't melt in your mouths! I personally do not bash Barrie Speedway. Infact I really enjoy watching the races there. But when you get guys from Barrie on the Sunset board, wholeheartedly bashing Sunset, calling it childish nicknames, (see thread by Blkflagagain titled RV demolition show, Just one of several,) you cant expect to never get anything in return!
Like I said, I like Barrie, and I also like Sunset. Just food for thought for all of the Sunset bashers though. I have been in Business for several years, and based on what I have seen at both tracks,I would guarantee you that Sunset has made more money in the last few years than Barrie has. Racing (for track owners,) is after all a business, which would beg the question, Who is the smart one?

HAHA. I almsot fell off my chair when I read this last post by Silverstone!!!!! lol....ok. first off, just cause a couple of people are bashing Sunset does that make it ok to bash their tracks? 2 wrongs don't make a right. think about and start acting mature about it! If you don't stoop to their level by retaliating back then that means you are the better person for just being quiet about it!
Personally I have never bashed Sunset. I've been there many times and enjoyed the show in the past! Just cause I race at Barrie does not mean I hate other tracks. It's just my family's history is at Barrie!
But anyways let's get to the point of why I almost fell off my chair when i read Silverstone's last post! ok We all know tracks are businesses. But really what you said about Sunset making more money in the last few years is probably true due only to the fact that money made is revenue. Barrie probably took in more money then Sunset but they also dumped a hell of a lot of money back into the track to make it a very nice premier facility in Ontario. So there revenue would not be as much. Not to bash Sunset but it needs work. and i've heard it's going to get the attention it needs in the off season which is great for the place. But really now.....why say things of this nature!!! this was too easy and you set yourself up on that one. Racing is racing! who cares where it is done. But when you make a comment as arrogant as you have it makes me wonder what makes your brain think like that.
Sunset has made more revenue because they haven't dumped it back into the track. maybe when they start to begin this the revenue will shrink drastically. But hey at least it will pay off in the long run!
From the cheap seats, I'm Steeve Melson
I wasn't saying that I agree with people bashing Barrie, I just said that people cant dish it out and not expect it in return!
Everytime I have been to sunset this year, the car counts have been far greater than Barrie's, and the stands are generally fuller! so do the math!
how do you know the stands are more full at Sunset? do you count the people, then drive over to Barrie and count them again? and really what does it matter how many cars there are. We've already discussed this on here numerous amounts of time. There are about the same LLM and Thundercars racing at given night at each track! the only difference in car counts is the fact that there are 60 or so 4 cylinder cars at Sunset in each division! that's the only difference! Who the hell cares!!! Go to Sunset watch and enjoy! I will race at Barrie and enjoy. As long as were enjoying ourselves who the heck cares! catch my drift?
