Barrie Night Two June 6th

Ok time for the 20 min rundown again.. Nice crowd on hand tonight which can be expected with the Automotive Flea Market next door, but as with the opener there wasnt alot of available seating.. Nice to see a full sponsor deck with the good folks from Barrie Harley Davidson Buell, and they were a pretty enthusiastic bunch.. Car counts were 19 LLM, 17 Thunders, and 26 4 cyl.. First 25 lapper went to #10 Gordie Shepherd for the 2nd time this year..Gordie would make an enthusiastic pass around the outside of fellow front runner #48 Dwayne Baker after a mid race restart. Baker held on for 2nd, with #19 Keith McLeod, #57 Ron Quesnelle, and #8 Dave Lewis the top 5. In a reversal of the season opener, this time it was the 2nd 35 lap feature that was slowed by just one debris caution a couple laps into the race. #20 Ed Bowlby started outside pole and got the jump on the 36 of Stoyan Zutich off the initial green.. Bowlby ran a really smart race at the front, and would lead until just shy of the midway point when McLeod executed a nice, clean inside pass out of 2 to inheirit the lead. Keith would go on to win the 35 lap feature by maybe 3 car lengths, over 2006 OSCAAR Rookie of the Year Bowlby, who came home an impressive 2nd, having to fend off challenges from #17 Garry "The Gambler" Reynolds and Shepherd, who finished 3rd and 4th respectively. Once again Lewis would come home in 5th in the 2nd feature, matching his feature performance of earlier in the night. Heats to Dwayne Baker and Lewis.. #88 Steve Matthews would make his 1st Barrie LLM start of the season and looked very racy out there, and I believe came home inside the top 10 in the 2nd feature for sure if not both.. #18 Kyle Baker also made his season debut, gaining some valuble seat time in his new car (the former #90 of Kevin Reynolds.) Only absentee from night 1 was the 54 of Randy Bull, who I heard went racing at Peterborough but I'd expect to see him back at some point throughout the season.. #9 of Brandon Watson was also AWOL but would expect possibly cause he was ACT racin in Quebec somewhere..Thunder Car feature won by #44 Dave" The Deuce" Â Doucette, capping off a hat trick for him on this evening as he won both his heat races as well.. Dave gained the lead from #24 Leonard Johnston with in inside pass racing out of 4 at around the 10 lap mark if I was guessin..Johnston shook off the opening night "bug a boo's" to finish 2nd, with Darryl St. Onge 3rd, #3 Ken Denhollander 4th, and #40 Donny Brandon 5th.. Impressive result for last years Rookie of the Year Brandon, after he was accidentially spun by good friend #22 Jason Elliott, and had to restart shotgun on the field. Heats to Doucette x2, St. Onge, and #22 Jason Elliott.. Pure Stocks was a 40 lap feature won by #2 Ben Melenhorst, for his 2nd feature win in as many weeks. #37 Robbie Sikes finished 2nd, after battling for much of the race door handle to door handle with the 4 of Mike Meyer who would round out the podium finishers. #35 Nick French had a really strong run from the pole to finish 4th, with #07 Rick Walt finishing 5th.. Look for Rick to be out in his own Thunder Car next week. Heats to Melenhorst, Sikes, #91 Kyle Lethbridge, and #64 x Beau Burrows. Pure Stock feature was slowed by 4 cautions from my count, and there did seem to be a small issue with lining up cars efficiently, but that being said with 26 out on track I see how it can happen at times.. All in all another pretty good night and home just after 11... There you have it ...From the cheap seats!!!! Feel free to add to this shotty report as I'm rushin out for work again!!LOL

They had the motor in a transport truck and won the bobtail drag race up at rodeo du camion but were dq'd in the end because they were running a gas engine in it. so i guess they got bored and this was the result. they said they paid 20G's for the engine.

Dont get me wrong ,it was awsome value...but im sure its against the rules of KOH..dont quote me ..i think it has to be licensed for the road and driven to the track ..
