This is just gonna be a quick blurb and a few short results.. In The Wahta Springs Late Models, both 30 lap features would go caution free as #24 Leonard" The Bandit" Johnston capture the first from an outside pole starting spot, while #14 "Hurricane" Thayne Hallyburton took the 30 lap finale to the evening after starting 5th. Some pretty exciting action, as the duo of #10 Gord Shepherd and #69 Al "Red Rocket" Inglis charged through the pack to finish 2nd and 3rd respectively in both feature races.. The battle for the lead in the 2nd feature was particularily good, as Hallyburton fended off Inglis out of turn 2 a couple times on the low side. Then with about 5 to go Inglis took to the top side entering 1 and almost got alongside and a nose in front of Hallyburton at one point, but the 10 of Shepherd lurked in behind and got Inglis to the low side for 2nd a couple laps later racing into turn 3. Shepherd, would try one last ditch crack at Hallyburton out of 4 on the outer groove on the last lap, but it was not to be as Hallyburton took his 7th feature win of the season.

The 30 lap Thunder Car feature was a somewhat rough and tumble affair and was won by #44 Dave "The Deuce" Doucette, for his 2nd feature win in as many weeks, and 4th of the season. Most eventful thing here was when after a mid race restart the #10 of Rick Walt was doing battle with the 44 of Doucette for the race lead. After Doucette had cleared Walt, the 10 tried to find the inside line and did, but during this course of events he was tagged from behind by point leader #00 Darryl St. Onge. The result would see St. Onge go for a wild spin down towards the infield, after something broke after the contact with Walt. It would end the night for point leader St. Onge, as Walt escaped without penalty for the contact deemed he had enough room, and in fact did nothing wrong by electing to choose the inside line.

For the third week in a row the Pure Stocks started off a little messy, with 2 early cautions before the race was two laps old. The most eventful of which came when a gaggle of cars collected out of turn 4. This turn of events would end the night for both 4th place point man #09 Dean Curry, as well as teammate #06 Ryan Hardy, with 5th place point man #63 Jamie Cairns also going off on the hook, his night complete. Forward to the end of the race, and its co point leader #77 Mike Gettliffe out front after he took the lead from #18 Tim Gagne with a high side pass in turn one on lap 5. Gettliffe, would later be run down by the other co point leader heading into the event #10 Doug Butler, as Bulter would squeak past Gettliffe with 2 laps remaining on the high side out of 4, as the divisions two " top dogs" went on to finish 1-2 at the checkered.
