sorry Dave busy over with the rest of the bunch, I like the vip lounge under the anouncement tower much better, besides and can chat with you, but considering Shawn is running part time this year, yea I think he is finding the fun in it again, we are talking full time next year, but we will see. Too bad about Terry, hope he gets it fixed for next weekend, Shawn really enjoys racing against him and Jim Mcdonald. Hopefully we will be there next weekend if Shawn has the time to run again. He is just so busy getting ready for targa.....

Targa...somebody mention Targa ?? as in the NFLD Targa ? ..if so, oh boy...am I jealous !
That race since its inception is one of the best events in Canadian Motorsports. And while it has gone through a pile of political B.S. several years ago, it is a GREAT event.
Ya Doug (if that's you) The #55 PS driver from Barrie (Shawn Monette) and his boss Mike Davenport owner of the Suby dealership up in Orillia are entering a car this year as they did 2 seasons ago.. I believe they finished top 10 in class if memory serves.. Maybe even top 5 and won some sort of awards..
While were at it you should bring that LLM of yours up to Barrie and giver a whirl.. We could use the cars!!LOL And 100 bucks night one gets you and 4 crew in for free... Just a thought!!!

Now I'm super jealous. Davenport is a true racing maniac (at least I think he is) I swear, he's one of the guys that would dream up a way to take a old Flyer wagon (you have to be ancient to know what one of those is...not that Dave is old...), figure out how to put an engine in it and go racing. I think you're right, Davenport finished in the top 5.
Yeah I'd love to try Barrie, but this year has been one of the most difficult in my life and the recovery is only now finally happening. I've only raced once this year at Peterborough and promptly got in a wreck after Kernan and Larry Crowe couldn't play nice down the front straightaway, spun each other - which caused the 44 of Dale Laking to check up (slam on the brakes) and nowhere for me to go high or low with the 69 and 55 blocking turn 4...
The car's RF suspension is back together, just need fenders and some paint, but like so many others, money is tight (read as non-existent). The last time I tried to run at Barrie was in the late 1980's in a Sportsman car and DNS. 🙁
Barrie is also a 2 hr haul each way for me - which at the moment isn't exactly cheap... sigh. Perhaps next year...though who knows what will happen in 2011.
I think you got a couple of complaints for taking a hiatus from last week, apparently it was a barn burner and the one time your views were in high demand you go off and you know.........*relax* !
