Ok well I figured I'd at least post the results of Sat nights racing back up again so we have them on record here. Dont know why the other topic was deleted and dont care, I trust Tex's judgement on that. Ok here he go AGAIN!!!LOL Late Model feature won by Mcloed who took the lead from Reynolds just shy of the halfway point with a nice low inside pass in 1 & 2. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place cars of Reynolds, Baker, and Shepherd all involved in a tangle up at or near lap 28 having to start from the rear at that point. Rob Inglis would match a season best from last year with a 2nd, while #5 Steve Quesnelle would finish a steady third keeping his nose clean the entire race. Heats would go to Mcleod, D. Baker, R. Jongen, and #69 Al Inglis. Inglis, also finished 4th in the feature with #8 Dave Lewis 5th. Good racing in the heats for the LLM I thought but last 15 laps of the feature took over half hour to run!! Top finishing rookie was Big Dog Meyer with a very solid run and a 9th. Thunders Ricky Walt took the win for his first ever Thunder victory at Barrie. Frank Davey did everything he could of to get by Walt late but it was not to be as the 3 time track champ would finish 2nd. Eddie Tremblay would walk away with a solid 3rd and the point lead by 2 over Davey heading into next week. #97 Brad Holden and #12 Jim Belesky would also have solid runs to round out the fast five. Heats would go to Walt, Davey, Tremblay, and #9 Chris Burrage. Also kudos to #38 Dave Melson who had 2 seconds in heat action in his Next Gen Oldsmobile. Pure Stocks it was Brandon Crumbie picking up where he left off in the 07 season that took the 20 lap feature win. Crumbie would take the lead on a late race restart getting the jump on the #57 of Mitch Casey. Nick French would see his 2nd in the feature negated in the tech shed. Mike Meyer finished 3rd, with #45 Derek Surerus 4th and #24 Tom Milligan finishing 5th. Heat wins to  Crumbie, #2 Ben Melenhorst, #16 Bryan Penny. Chargers it was #33 Crystal Doucette who took her first ever feature win. Huge congrats to that young girl who would also win a heat. #49 Mike Woodward would finish 2nd.To be honest didnt see much of that race as I chose to get food but from the looks of it Crystal took the lead early if not right away and marched home to victory. Rookies #07 Kurtis Ball and #2 Billy Melenhorst would finish 3rd and 4th respectively with #15 Mike Burtoo rounding out the top 5. The 14 year old Melenhorst would also take a win in a heat.  Veteran drivers #77 Scott Leclerc and Burtoo would also take heat victories. Visiting driver was #54LLM Randy Bull from Pete, who ran well in the heats after starting scratch gaining some positions and valuble track time along the way. Bull, would unfortunately get caught up in a tangle up at lap 22 when the 28 of Jongen spun in 2. This wreck also ended the night for the 2 of Brown and #23 Rob Black. Wonder if that 54 car will be back?? It was a sharp lookin car. I saw he finished 3rd in Pete's opener and thought it was kinda strange he was at our track when the Pete LLM's were running as well. In fact they had a 50 lapper planned. Was Pete rained out on Sat night??? Anyone know??? Maybe we do indeed have another car. Hot rumour of the night was the return of Steve St. Onge to the driving ranks as apparently hes bought the #88 LLM of Scott Beatty. When this will come I dont know, maybe he has rookie plans for 09 but its not a secret that Steve is coming back to drive in this car.

OOPS forgot to mention in the report thay our own #97 Pure Stock took his first ever heat win at Barrie. As I mentioned in the deleted topic this was actually the best race at Barrie in 08 and it was a squeaky clean battle with Thayne, #4 Mike Meyer, #63 Brandon Crumbie and the 24 of Tom Milligan running in a 2 by 2 pack the entire race with Thayne just edging Meyer at the stripe.  Geez Thayne I dont know how I could forget you bud your such a "Gentle Giant" lol . Any kudos to you too Mikey you ran Thayne very clean bud.
