Well that is a pretty good 3 to select if you were choosing guys at will to appear at BSW Wade!!! I think Morrow and Witty are pretty much Sunset through and through, although it would be nice to see Chris return to Barrie, the place where he won the 1997 Challenger title. I bet not too many of you knew that Morrow is a former Barrie track champ as well??? As far as the Stomper, I think everyone in the free world knows how I'd feel about him returning to BSW to persue a 4th Barrie title.(Thats right I said 4th, 2005 and 2006 track champ, and again I bet not many of you know he shared the 1973 6 cyl track title with one Garry "The Gambler" Reynolds) to be honest I wouldnt know much of this either but for the great KDM Racesports site STATSMAN put together a few years ago, but at least I retained it!!! LOL But if the Stomper returned do the words "Blkflagagain does spinning pirouettes off the tower mean anything to you???" LOL I have been avoiding adding "Sunset drivers" to the topic for the reasons stated earlier but upon further information I received, I would be amiss if I didnt add this guy. So here goes.............

#59 Steve Slaughter Jr. --------- purchased a very strong LM at the 3/4 point of last year in the former Gavin Murray ALSTAR car. The racing talent SSJ possesses is undenyable, and hes proven in the past hes very quick to learn the intraquascies to set up a race car and adapt to new surroundings, as evidenced by his strong runs at BSW last year in Thunders. Steve got better with each passing week in the 3 or 4 BSW appearances last year, and has a strong team behind him. Also has previous BSW expierience in 4cyl, twice winning the 500 finale in that division. Steve has been rumored to of added some meaningful sponsorship for 09, and we all know how important that is in the racing circles. Exhibits total class each time on the track and is well repected around BSW for this very factor. While I think like most Steve will wait to see what the pending drivers meetings bring about before he commits to one track or another, my investigative skills turn up about a 90 percent chance that in fact SSJ is returning, which will make much of his Barrie fan base quite happy if my info holds true in 09. Due to all these factors and the support he will get from a strong team and fan base surronding him look for this momentum to translate into a succesful season in 09 for this talented wheel man. I will now make him a co favorite with Crumbie for 2009 BSW Rookie of the Year

First off in responce to your question WATTIE yes I am indeed Ralph's son, and will most def pass along your hello and concerns for his health. My Dad has moved down to Nova Scotia as of Jan of last year, and is working doing the pit line ups at Scotia Speedworld as part of the regular Fri night program there. He also is the head flagman for the CARQUEST Maritime Pro Stock Tour which is a LM touring series that visits Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and P.E.I. He is really enjoying himself down there, and is also working driving a school bus for his regular 9 to 5. His health is great right now, although he still does need blood work from time to time to ensure the cancer hasn't returned, but so far so good and it appears to be clear sailing for him now. As far as Ron Quesnelle goes, yes he did indeed purchase Kyle Baker's car the one that was piloted to the 2007 BSW track championship by Kyle's dad Dwayne. I think Ron is another that is pretty much Sunset through and through, although if there is ever a year that I could see him making the switch this might be the one. That car seemed to have a few issues last year but I think part of that might of been Kyle's inexpierience in a LLM and not really knowing what to report to his crew as to what the car was doing and how it was responding when changes were made. But I think with a veteran like Ron behind the wheel of that machine it does have the potential to return to its former glory. The one thing I wonder about Ronnie is that he and "The Stomper" seem to have a rivalery dating back a few years now and I think you might see Ron wait to see where Walters runs and he might pick the opposite track for himself just to avoid the confrontations and tangle ups of years past. That is just purely my own speculation but at this time and I would say its 50/50 Ron Quesnelle will make the switch, but I will try to find out more and update at a later date.
