Doesn't Baker have a built motor? Noy sure but I remember he did run a Dodge motor a couple years back that was built by Billy Howard
The 8 car (327) , 13, 17, 19, and 84 all have Built motors under the hood. Lewis being the exception running the smaller cube, higher reving 327.
Kahnefreak you are right the 48 has a built as well (Howard Built I think) but its not in service right now.
If you were to compare the engines for longevity (sp?) The crates are far superior. Brown ran his for 3-4 years with just a simple refresh each year, and has many features under his belt! The same goes for the 48 and now the 10 of sheppard, coming on strong this year. I personally think each engine has pro's and con's. The crate is cheaper and lasts forever. And the builts can really crank aroung the track. But as far as "Train Racing" goes Thats Barrie Speedway period, its one of the tightest tracks around. I think It is up to each and every driver to put they re car as deep as they want it and make it stick. to win the races at Barrie!!
DAISY, DAISY, DAISY see you wouldnt believe me when we originally had this debate!!LOL I told you I'm as honest as the day is long!!! To my knowledge what I told you is correct 3 Barrie LLM run built motors (McLeod, Reynolds, and the 84 of Cronan) why you chose to doubt the ayatollah of short track a rolla is beyond me!! And BIG DOG pretty sure the 8 and 50 at Barrie both run the crate motor package as you do!!!
DAVE DAVE DAVE...as I told you before I wanted a second opinion and whom better to give it than CRO? lol I got the information that I needed and well it seems that you forgot some people and that is what I wanted to see. I didn't doubt you just double checking the facts is all. You are not the first nor the last that I will do this too just so you know..NO Offence.

i think that motor is in the 50?:it use to be in that car when it was the 5 then the doctor bought it
Crates are more reliable and last longer but the built motors have more power. so it's a win win depending on your bank accounts.
