Alright I admit I am a little behind at this point but i just read this entire topic from start to finish.  I have read all of the for and against arguements that are up here. My opinion is as follows... If you look at any society there is (and lets just admit that racing is a society) if the laws (or rules) that are set out to keep peace and keep people out of harms way are not followed, and the enforcement people do not enforce the the laws equally (or at all) then it becomes a self enforcement society.  If someone else's dog craps on your lawn and you call animal control repeatedly and they do nothing, you (and you know you willl) will take some sort of measure to look after the problem yourself. If your first attempt doesn't work then your next your next one will be a little firmer, and so on.  This is what is happening at Barrie Speedway right now.  As for remembering it is a hobby, it is a ADRENALINE FUELED hobby. From what I saw saturday night was that 44 had No Intention of wrecking the 00 car,(oh I can hear the outrage building) because after he turned St Onge around, he stopped that Xtreme machine on a dime so that he didn't write off the 00 car.  I am 100% positive that should 44 had wanted to he could have just left his foot in it. So things are going to happen no matter what but they can be contained or the effects lessened if the enforcement is quick and the rules apply equally to all.

Lets hope everyone smartens up soon. This rough driving has to end. Racing is a contact sport and stuff will happen but it is too expensive and time consuming to be fixing cars needlessly, its expensive enough without this. JMO

These are grown men, they should know better. This may have started out between the 44 and 00 but unfortunetly other cars ended up getting mixed up in it. It's uncalled for and not setting a very good example for up and coming future racers... not to mention this is suppose to be a Nascar sanctioned track... wonder what they would think of this... Keep it off the track guys before someone does get hurt, we had way too much of that stuff last season, lets show that Barrie Speedway racers have more self control and class then that.... Just my opinion and thoughts

As was just mentioned, Barrie is a NASCAR sanctioned track so that leaves all of you with another venue to use if your concerns (re: officials etc.) are not addressed by the speedway.

Contact NASCAR, cc your emails to NASCAR but, be diplomatic and factual. If the speedway sees that you are including the sanctioning body in your concerns they may just come around and you may see changes in the way the officiating is done.

NASCAR sanctioning is a big deal for local tracks and too have it pulled can be embarassing.

Also, NASCAR is not above sending someone to a track on the QT to watch their operations, I think this happened at St. Eustache in the past and they cleaned themselves up.

As for selling Beer in the garage area, that is just wrong imho!
