Ok the 20 min rundown again!!! What a night at Barrie!! Lots of good close finishes in the heats and really clean!! I think only one caution in all the Barrie heats, and maybe 2 or 3 in Legends. Speaking of them #88 Bruce Grimes would nail the elusive hat trick, winning both heats and feature. #24 Andy Warburton( always a front runner at Barrie) finished 2nd, with 77 Fernandes, 79 Cuthbertson, and 16 Dejong finishing out the top 5. I really enjoyed the show the Legends put on and this time especially!! Sorry Ross!!LOL Other Legend heats to Warburton and Cutherbertson. LLM feature won by The Gambler Reynolds once again, his 3rd of the year. Gary stormed into the lead from outside pole and would not look back. Pole sitter Cronan ran his best race by far running 2nd till 3 laps remaining where he would just overcook it out of 4 after drifting high on the outside. Baker was having troubles getting around the 84 on this night, thats how good Cronan ran. Speaking of Baker he would come home 2nd, after being a later arrival on the evening. #5 "Captain Highliner" Steve Quesnelle would match a season best 3rd. I dont think I have to tell you how happy that made one writing specialist!!!LOL 19 McLeod would charge up from 13th on the grid to finsh 4th, with 97 Rob Inglis completing the top 5. 43 Malcolm returned and didnt miss a beat gaining a few positions in the heats and finishing maybe 12th if I was guessing in the feature after starting at the rear all night!! Great to see Darin racing again. Not a bad race only 2 cautions one at lap 25 and the other at lap 33. Could of been more passing for me liking, but still there was some occuring!! Heats to Reynolds, McLeod, Shepherd, and #50 Woodward who tasted victory for the first time in LLM!!! Way to go Doc!!LOL Thunder feature got off to a slow start but once the race got rolling there were some great tight battles for spots. St. Onge would get the win and was a bullet once he got to the front. I did see him advance at least one or two spots on the outside on a mid race restart before they ever came out of turn 4 so that kinda dumbfounded me. #35 Isherwood would finish 2nd, with #3 Kenny Denhollander finishing 3rd. Really nice to see him do well, that guy works his ass of at his new found "hobby" it appears to me. Flyin Frank and Brad Holden would round out the top 5. Heats were claimed by St. Onge, Davey, 2 Tremblay, and 72 Monette. And the best part of the night was seeing my buddies Steve Jr, and Happy Herb racing Barrie!!! Herb actually finished 6th after starting 18th. Junior had a couple good runs in the heats and got caught up in a racing deal in the feature going to the back once but still coming home with a good first time finish of maybe 13th 14th if I was guessin. Pure Stock race won by Bryan Penny who was back to form in his Honda!!! The "Hillsdale Flash" #97 Thayne Hallyburton came home 2nd, with Crumbie, Melenhorst, and #37 Robbie Sikes the fast five. Heats to Crumbie, Melenhorst, 92 Ralph Sikes, and 45 Surerus. Chargers it was #49 Mike Woodward taking his first win of 08. Nice to see for him after some tough luck!! Way to go CHARGER 49!!!! 2nd was 07 Kurtis Ball I believe his best finish as well so congrats to him!! A really nice kid to talk to for the record as well. #22 Chris King continues his solid season  with a 3rd, with 98 Brent Stieler, and 15 Burtoo rounding out the top 5. Heats to Burtoo, 90 McDonald, #2 Billy Melenhorst and the 21 of point leader Desi Walt. That girl has also had a solid season all top 10s so far!!! Very consistent!!! There you have it FROM THE CHEAP SEATS!!!LOL

Thanks Dave, great report, good racing last nite and the autograph session was fun. It was really great to see Steve Slaughter back on the track. It looks like he remembers how to run Barrie cause he did an awsome job last nite despite starting at the back, put that boy midpack and I'll bet he could win a few.....

I thought the racing at Barrie tonight was great ! I was glad to see #2 and #48 in the LLM race . Dwayne had quite a rocket out there on his new tires . I heard the only way into Sunset on Saturday night was by canoe or other small boats . The pit area will probably by replaced by boat docks and a trout pond will be stocked shortly . I'm still waiting for pics to be posted !!!!  Does anyone there consider running Sundays , when Saturday is rained out ??;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
