Lewis is scored 14th because all they did was put him to the back like he was an involved car in a wreck. They were lining guys up ahead of the 23, 74, 13 all night. It never said in the results on the web site that he was black flagged for rough driving, or he would get no points. Maybe it was taken off the web site because the track is using some common sense & re thinking there decision. Also someone keeps saying Baker should be 3rd, but you can clearly see in the pictures that he was one of the last cars into the wreck, I'm pretty sure he was spun a couple cautions before the wreck was he not.
Just wanted to say that Baker was not in the wreck yet yes he was back there, Baker got stopped before hitting anything, eventhough it looks like it in the pics, I was standing on the pit tower right above the accident, and saw the whole thing commin right at me, and yes Lewis did do a bonzi run right into the corner trin to get under renolds....
it is funny how everyone allways blames one person for a wreck .maybe reynolds should fix his brakes before everyone blames lewis maybe everyone else should have been off the gas instead of foot to the floor to drive up the wall and over walters maybe the track should go back to the old way of restarting. see lots of blame elsewhere. I have been a fan in the stands for 15 years and it is allways the same, blame one person not the whole scene lewis shouldn't be kicked out for hitting reynolds no more than walters should be kicked out for the first night wreck or kevin reynolds for his wreck thats racing boys and girls get over it. Brad and Steve do a great job they give us a place to go and watch good racing and even better wrecks most of the time.as for baker's mom swearing if she did who the heck hasn't but I can't see her swearing that much. As for the 00 and 44 cheating maybe people can't handle watching some guys who work on there car and learn their cars and actually can drive their cars get over it and stop being jelous go out and have fun that is what this saturday night racing is all about. oh ya as for lewis' crew not knowing how to set up a race car do your research he has been in it for 25 years if he don't know now....... great job Barrie Speedway keep it up.
Barrie is a great show and nice facility, but I blame the Showstopper, because he is to blame, and also he was to blame on the first night when he stacked all the cars under the flag stand as you sit in the grandstands you are not aware that the showstopper was man enough to apologised to the drivers for doing it . Dave should not be suspended, but he should have been at the very least disqualified, for his wreckless and mean spirited actions . What message does that send to the other drivers. The reason every one continues to yap about it is that the track did not even black flag him ,just had him as an involved car .So the issue is the next time there is another incidence of stupidy by any driver how can they be black flagged, or if the track does not police the drivers for rough driving ,the drivers will do the job for them and that is dangerous. It is the inconsistancy of the track officials at Barrie that creates the problems ,because if you were a fan that believes in the rules of racing you would need a double dose of Prozak to watch the show.
For those who failed to comprehend my point ,the action on the track surronding the big wreck has sparked my interest , not any of the posts regarding the incident and especially not the personal attack on my friend Sherry . I'm sure she and the others mentioned didn't find any of it funny . As for my theory on corporate marketers reading websites posts such as contained here before making a sponsorship choice ,believe me it happens ,I have been there . Just ask our friend Midamerica how difficult it is too aquire the funding to compete . As it turns out I can't attend Saturday night but will be paying my admission fee on Sunday to see the " pros" do their thing. To conclude , enjoy the races , but please , if you have a beef with someone ,say it to their face ,don't hide behind a facade .
very well put Duken....I race in the Charger division at Barrie and I am doing very well and I cannot find extra sponsorship help at all....with all the bad talking about the track it makes it more difficult. Like I have said in previous posts, the track is trying to do the best they can and I believe that it is getting better. There is only one flag man and he cannot see everything that all the fans can see. He only has 2 eyes. It's like in hockey when the refs do not see a penalty when there is obviously one that should be called. Same deal. Life goes on. Everybody messes up sometimes. Barrie is where i grew up and at least they are trying. Look at other tracks. Are they spening there profits on making the facilities that much better?? I don't think so, so why bad mouth the track.....I think the only thing the track may need is another flag man on the backstretch like in the old days. and I have heard rumours that this may happen.. all in all thumbs up to barrie speedway and staff....a huge thumbsdown for drivers that go out and cause accidents without thinking, and that's not just the late model drivers either....a charger driver Dave Crumbie the points leader broke his wrist and needed surgery because an idiot floored it into the corner causing a wreck last saturday.....he can't even work....now that's a little more serious then having to fix a racecar because Dave who is the points leader in the charger class can't even barely make a living anymore until he is healed....so drivers be patient wait for your chance and don't just push through because I just gave you an example of what may happen.....and it could happen to you
who wrecked crumbie?
