A few cars not on the preview list showed for Barrie practice.
Ed Bowlby was there in a #20 that was previously seen as the #42 driven by Rob Walt last year. Rob was there in the crew on the #48 car. This one had been talked about but hadn't shown up on the website.
Randy Bull's #54 was a surprise.
There were a few surprised to see this car as well though the secret had been slowly getting out around town over the past week to more than a few disbelieving ears.
As hinted at by my younger and much faster brother in another topic it will be driven by yours truly. I didn't get out in it but Keith did and I managed a few slow laps in his #19.
This is off the top of my head in regards to the Late Models that were in attendance last night.. #54 Randy Bull, #48 Dwayne Baker, #57 Ron Quesnelle, #5 Steve Quesnelle, #8 Dave Lewis, #17 Garry Reynolds, #28 Robin Jongen, #20 Ed Bowlby, #13 Robert Thornborrow, #63 Brandon Crumbie, #19 Keith McLeod, #79 Rod McLeod, #10 Gord Shepherd, #6 Keith Maiato, and #9 Brandon Watson( although I believe it was his Kawartha LM and not the limited, and John Gaunt was driving mostly) am I missing anyone??? Some great lookin machinery thats for sure.. I'm going to be revising the preview a little in the coming days and writing a quick blurb on those I missed, as well as possible writing an explanation on those I included that either didnt show or that I hear arent racing in 2009... Should be a fine year in the LLM division..
Anyone heard where Stompin Tom will be running this season?Â
I sure wish somebody from barrie speedway, maybe Jim or someone would phone Walters and twist his damn arm until he says give and that he'll race at Barrie Speedway ,because that sure would make for one of the best if not the best field of late models in Ontario. It sure would make it easier on where to go every sat. night.
Good luck with that!
And for $600 and a tire a night you can get Tom Walters at BSW ;D
